Baumer is an internationally operating company with a passion for sensor technology, encoders, measuring instruments, and components for automated image processing.
The Baumer Group was founded in 1952 in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, by Herbert Baumer.
Initially, it produced microswitches to automate production processes.
Already in the 1960s and 1970s, it introduced key innovations, such as inductive proximity sensors and high-precision measuring systems.
In the following years, it transformed from a small local company into an international group.
