The Gualco Distillery is an historic company founded in 1870 and located in Silvano d'Orba, a charming village in southern Piedmont, on the border with Liguria.
Bartolomeo Gualco, from the 1930s until 1971, and his niece Susanna Gualco, who ran the company from 1971 to 2001, expanded the fame of the grappa and liqueurs produced by the company in Italy and around the world.
Today, as then, the company's distillation plant is an historic Piedmontese bain-marie pot still.
