ANICAV is the largest association representing tomato processing companies in the world in terms of number of member companies and quantity of processed product. It associates three quarters of the Italian processing industries, which produce about 70% of all processed tomatoes in Italy and almost all of the whole peeled tomatoes produced in the world, with a turnover, in 2023, of 3.6 billion euros. Approximately 60% of production is destined for export both to Europe and to other countries, making the tomato an ambassador of Made in Italy excellence in the world.
