La Guardiense was founded in 1960 from 33 farsighted and courageous growers, and today it has become a benchmark in the Sannio Beneventano and an important cooperative reality in Campania with about 1,000 member producers who cultivate around 1,500 hectares of vineyards located on hills at an altitude ranging from 80 to 450 meters above sea level. We are in the heart of the geographical area of Falanghina, of which La Guardiense is by far the main producer in the world, and of Aglianico. Other local grape varieties grown are Fiano, Greco, Coda di Volpe, and Piedirosso
