The Italian Society of NIR Spectroscopy was funded in 2006, with the aim of promoting the scientific knowledge of near-infrared spectroscopy and its applications through training of young researchers and continuous updating of its members.
SISNIR organizes training courses and scientific events, including the well-established National Symposium NIRITALIA every two years, in order to bring together the NIR scientific community and stimulate debate on current and future frontiers in various areas of interest.
