On 7 February 1996 the Historical Buttafuoco Club was founded with the aim of enhancing the history and territory of this prestigious wine that traces its origins in the province of Pavia (Italy) from the watershed located in the first strip of Oltrepò Pavese called "Sperone di Stradella". The Buttafuoco Storico is composed of the 4 native vines of Oltrepò: Croatina, Barbera, Uva Rara and Unghetta di Canneto. The four grapes are assembled by the Winemakers of the Club and these by regulation, must come from a single vineyard.
