The Consortium for the Protection of Calabrian DOP Cured Meats is the body officially recognised by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry as the institution responsible for the protection, supervision and promotion of the Protected Designations of Origin of Calabrian charcuterie. Its establishment responds to the need to safeguard the integrity and authenticity of a gastronomic heritage deeply rooted in the centuries-old history of the Calabrian territory, preserving its distinctive identity and reputation on both national and international markets.
