Pastificio Pepe was born from an idea by Maria Grazia Ingenito (Gragnano, Naples, 1989), daughter of Ciro Ingenito, a master pasta maker. Ciro began his career in large pasta factories and, after many years of experience, retired as a Master Pasta Maker and Production Manager, receiving a Gold Medal for 50 years of service, awarded by the Gragnano Pasta Consortium.
In 2018, she opened Pastificio Pepe with her husband, also an expert master pasta maker, and within days of starting production, she obtained the PGI certification from the Gragnano Pasta Consortium
