The “Sardine Pollastrini di Anzio” Industry was founded in 1889 by Salvatore Pollastrini. Presently it is the only factory left in Italy that produces canned sardines. The Company produces and commercializes sardines of the Mediterranean Sea in steel cans of 100 grams each with various flavours: olive oil, tomato sauce and olive oil, hot spice and olive oil and olive oil with tomato sauce and hot spice. The Company has recently added to the traditional production of sardines the commercialization of yellow fin tuna fillets and of natural mackerel and mackerel with olive oil in glass jars.
