METROFOOD-IT is the Italian node of the European Research Infrastructure METROFOOD-RI, dedicated to metrology and open-access data in the agrifood sector. It brings together universities and research centres across Italy to ensure food quality, traceability and safety, promoting sustainability and supporting the digitalisation of agrifood systems. It provides advanced services and expertise for research, innovation and support to enterprises in the food sector. The infrastructure is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU through the NRRP – Mission 4, Component 2, Investment 3.1.
