LP Packaging has developed a technology capable of forming a stretch-film-wrapped tray without using a heat-shrink tunnel. This results in a saving of approximately 20% in film usage, as well as energy savings due to the absence of the tunnel. The process requires only the use of an LDPE film with a high elasticity coefficient.
