The chickpeas used for Alce Nero chickpeas flour are grown exclusively in Italy. The stone grinding allows to obtain an irregular granulometry. Chickpea is a grain legume of Asian origin, one of the most widespread in the world. It requires poorly fertile soils and has a strong resistance to drought. It is characterized by a high content of protein and fiber, and the flour obtained is naturally gluten-free. It is naturally a source of fiber and protein and ideal for the preparation of flat bread, biscuits, pancakes, hummus and felafel.
