During optical monitoring of the cardboard feed area, the TÜV Süd-certified solution for PL d/SIL CL 2 prevents an operator from accessing the machine’s material loading opening when it is empty.
Once the number of cartons in the magazine drops to the minimum quantity, the two optical sensors detect this situation and deactivate the outputs via the compact safety module PNOZmulti 2 or the modular safety relays myPNOZ.
