Born in Italy as a crossbreeding between one of the best italian rice varieties for risotto and one of the most Asian rice varieties, the GranCavour is the absolute novelty in the italian varietal panorama. It is a type of aromatic rice characterized by a 20% bigger grain than conventional rice. The GranCavour reperents a new concept for italian risotto, suitable for traditional dishes as well as innovative recipes. This new rice variety is entitled to Cavour since, like the famous visionary, it anticipates the future.
