CONSORZIO PER LA TUTELA FORMAGGIO MONTE VERONESE DOP

Hall 02 - Booth D 007

Monte Veronese is an Italian cheese with a protected designation of origin, typical of the Veneto region. The milk is obtained, transformed and processed in the northern part of the province of Verona. This is an area of mainly high hills, rich in fertile pastures. Cheese was produced here back before the year 1000 AD. Two different types are now made: Monte Veronese "latte intero" (whole milk) and Monte Veronese "d'allevo". These two types are made exclusively from cows’ milk, and they do not only differ in taste, but also in their methods of production.
